Happening at hosanna
The week has finally arrived! We are loading up the gigantic white van with eager Young Disciples and traveling over 900 miles to Broomfield, Colorado (just outside of Denver). The months of planning, possibility, and pancakes have led us to this Friday evening. Around 8:30 pm, when all of the bags, snacks and pillows have been packed... we will leave the familiar Hosanna campus for the great unknown that's before us. It's incredibly exciting and nerve wracking all rolled into one. But I think in some ways, that's how you know you're about to do something truly special. And I pray that that's what this Rocky Mountain Mission is for our team. We are headed out on a safari to do good... And we will bring those lessons and life-long memories back home with us. These little moments that happen along the way become the wind in the sails of a life of faith - I've seen it happen first hand. And I know it will again.
I'm so proud of absolutely every Young Disciple who has signed up for one of our Mission Trips here at Hosanna. To give a week of your summer (and far more when you factor in the preparation and fund-raising they have done) is an amazing sacrifice at any age. But it's especially impressive within the brief respite they get from school, athletics, music, clubs, and the countless other things that fill up the life of a teenager. It's never lost on me how much it takes to simply say - "Yes... I want to be a part of it." So for each previous team that has come before this year's... For Memphis, Houston, and Detroit... I want to say thanks for the culture set in place by those kids. Like a baton being handed forward in a life-long race... what is simply isn't possible without what was.
The 2025 Rocky Mountain Mission team is the largest we've ever had... and it's not only a big group - it's a devoted one too. I want you to meet them...
